You don’t need a fortune to look & feel like a million dollars

You don’t need a fortune to look & feel like a million dollars.

We believe everyone deserves a healthy, beautiful smile, regardless of his or her means. Unfortunately, the “numbers” paint an entirely different picture.

The recently released National Poll of Healthy Aging reports:

  • 1 in 3 Americans aged 50 to 64 are ashamed about their teeth
  • Almost 40 percent of the 1,000-plus poll respondents had dental conditions in the past two years that were painful, or interfered with work, eating, and other aspects of their lives.
  • 40 percent of those who responded to the University of Michigan-led and AARP-sponsored poll said they sought care infrequently or only when serious problems arouse.
  • These problem-only respondents were less likely to have private dental benefits and a “regular” dentist to visit as recommended than the respondents who were characterised as “prevention-focused.”

We see firsthand the impact routine recall appointments and cleanings have on preventing costly and extensive problems, or on keeping existing problems from getting worse. The poll also found that obtaining dental coverage gets more difficult as people age and leave their workplace benefits. Unfortunately, these seniors are losing coverage at a time when their risks of dental problems are increasing due to factors like the side effects of drugs to control medical conditions, or the complications of those chronic conditions.

Quality dentistry for all

Calgary Dental Centers takes pride in offering dentistry regardless of if you have insurance or not. We don’t nickel and dime, nor do we cut corners on quality care. For those who have delayed getting the care they need, restorations and other procedures may be financed over many months or longer through DentalCard from iFinance Canada. Financing arrangements stretch your outstanding balance over many months, resulting in manageable monthly payments. Patients who have dental coverage appreciate that financing helps to reduce the burden of out-of-pocket expenses.

If you have many needs, procedures are prioritised, and treatments are scheduled in phases. This approach is designed to work within your schedule and budget! Our team is also experienced at working with insurance carriers, and we accept all private care insurance plans as well as social assistance plans.

The cost of preventive care or treatment should never be a barrier to your health and overall wellness, nor should you “age out” of the quality care just because you’ve left the workforce. There is a payment option or approach to treatment that fits your budget. Don’t hesitate to call (403) 768-1339 with questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you at one of our Calgary locations!
